Gas Booster Pump System Overview

Gas booster pump system for gas cylinder transfer and filling

Pneumatic gas booster systems are compact and delicacy solution tailored to specific requirements with gas boosters as well as all accessories to be fitted and installed in the frame or a closed cabinet.

To operate this system, the pressure gauges, valves and pressure regulators have to be fitted on panels. The outlet pressure is easily to be set through a simple air regulator. The pump stops automatically when this end pressure is reached and restarts with a slight drop in the outlet pressure or an increase in the air drive pressure.

These systems are used for oil-free compression of clean shop air as well as industrial gases like Argon, Helium, Oxygen, Hydrogen and Nitrogen, CO2, etc. Driven air ranges from 3 bar to 8 bar.

💡 Key Features:

  • Operating pressure up to 80 MPa
  • Oil-free compression for high purity gases
  • Pneumatically driven - no electricity required
  • Automatic pressure holding and restarting
  • Ideal for high-pressure testing and cylinder filling

Technical Applications

  • Pressure test with gas
  • Gas transfer and filling (Argon/Helium/Hydrogen/Oxygen/Nitrogen/CO2/CNG/LPG, etc.)
  • Charging of gas cylinder and accumulator with nitrogen
  • Supply for isolating gas systems
  • Gas assisted injection molding
  • Leak testing and Safety valve adjusting
  • Hydrostatic Testing for valves, tanks, and pressure vessels

Selection Guide

In order to choose the suitable booster system, please confirm:

  1. What is your present gas inlet pressure?
  2. What is the gas type (Oxygen, Nitrogen, etc.)?
  3. What is the required outlet gas pressure?
  4. What drive air pressure can you provide from your compressor?
  5. What outlet gas flow rate do you need?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the automatic stop function work?

A: The pump is designed to balance the forces. When the outlet pressure reaches the set ratio relative to the drive air pressure, the pump stops automatically. It will restart if there is a pressure drop at the outlet.

Q: Does this system require electricity?

A: No, the system is completely pneumatically driven. It only requires a connection to an air compressor (3-8 bar) to operate, making it safe for explosive environments.

Q: Can I use this for high-purity Oxygen transfer?

A: Yes, the system provides oil-free compression, which is essential for handling clean industrial gases like Oxygen, Argon, and Nitrogen without contamination.

Q: What is the maintenance requirement for these pumps?

A: Regular maintenance involves checking the F.R.L unit to ensure clean, lubricated air is being supplied. The seals are designed for a long service life under standard operating conditions.

Q: Is it possible to customize the cabinet?

A: Yes, we offer different cabinet models (A, B, C) and can customize the configuration of valves and gauges based on specific site requirements.

Q: What is the maximum pressure this system can handle?

A: Standard systems can handle up to 80 MPa (800 bar). For requirements exceeding this, double-driven head options are available.
